Who We Are

Cult Computing, built on the values to re-invent hardware & software harmony with upgradable, eco-friendly matters

We are based in Cambridge, United Kingdom. A group of people who had entrepreneurship background with technical & business experience. Our main focus is creating an upgradable hardware platform with our software ecosystem and use the best technologies around it. Our products are connected to each other, to break the barriers in front of the creativity. We design & develop with passion and you will feel it when you try.

Hardware Design

We design and manufacture Arm-based upgradable compute platforms. We can categorise this process in 3 pillars. Core modules, Shiels and Extensions.

Core boards are upgradable Arm-based micro compute modules.
Shields are well known hardware extensions like development boards or laptops.
Extensions are the functional parts of a computer, like RAM, Wifi or storage

Our goal is releasing really powerful Core modules every 2 years and provide long-term support for the shields and extensions for our customers.

Shields

Shields are special designed hardware modules to make Core module more upgradable and easy to use for different purposes.

Pi 1: Single board computer like shieled for development and prototyping purposes.
Mark 1: Lightweight, user-centric semi-upgradable laptop shield.
Mark 1 Pro: Transparent, creative, advanced upgradable laptop shield.
Cube 1: Coming Soon

Software

CultOS: Linux-based feature rich operating system with special AI features and native Android apps support
Cult Store: Cross-platform apps and AI models store which will bring full freedom to app developers
AI Hub: A special sandboxing technology which will be bundled with Cult Store for the security of local LLMs

Besides those, there will be an offline assistant bundled to CultOS which will help to the users with many specific tasks. There will be special AI features for the camera, microphone and the back lid of the screen.

Cult Link

One of the most important hardware & software features that we are releasing is CultLink.

Cult Link is a hardware & software feature to enable upgradable LPDDR rams on Arm-based boards
It provides up to %70 performance compansation
You can use the same RAM extensions for the upcoming Cult Core modules

A short introduction to our products

What is the pain point that we are solving?

We are solving the upgradable laptop dilemma by choosing the most energy efficient hardware architecture with a new Cult Link technology to support upgradable ram. These improvement will fix two major problems:

1- Upgradability

2- Battery Life

Besides those improvements, we are building our own software ecosystem with more AI friendly operating system and developer friendly App Store mentality.

What is new on the hardware side?

Fully upgradable LPDDR5 ram slots with backward compability via Cult Link technology, a powerfull core module which can be replacable in 2 years with another superb design, full package extensions and shields.

What is new on the software side?

We are working on our own Linux-based operating system called CultOS. CultOS will support Androoid apps natively and the apps will perform seemless experience because of the Arm architecture. We will develop a special App Store for our platform which will show both Linux and Android apps and under the AI Hub umbrella developers can distribute their LLM based apps too. There will be too many AI based improvements for the Mark 1 Pro laptop shield
